    En el presente trabajo proponemos analizar las ordenanzas y leyes para el manejo de los Ramos de Hacienda y Cruzada en relación con las prácticas llevadas a cabo en la administración en el Tucumán colonial para comprender cómo funcionó la administración estatal en un espacio periférico del Imperio. Indagamos sobre las prácticas administrativas de la Real Hacienda teniendo en cuenta las ordenanzas, políticas e instrucciones reales que regían dichas prácticas. De esta manera queremos evadir la presentación de la organización estatal como una fotografía institucional de una realidad estática y tratarla como un sistema vivo que funcionaba a través de los hombres en un contexto y espacio determinados. Si bien las normativas son fundamentales para analizar las instituciones y hay que darles la importancia que ameritan, poner el foco de atención en las prác-ticas y en las personas que las hacen funcionar nos permite conocer las instituciones desde un lugar diferente.

    The administrative practices of the Royal Treasury. Salta of Tucumán region in the second half of the eighteenth century.This paper aims to analyze the ordinances and laws for the management of the Hacienda and Cruzada Branches in relation to the practices carried out by the colonial Tucumán’s administration. The objective is to understand how the state administration functioned in a peripheral space of the Empire.We inquire about the administrative practices of the Royal Treasury taking into account the ordinances, policies and real instructions that governed these practices. We aim to show the state organization not as an institutional photograph of a static reality but as a living system that works through men in a given context. Although the regulations are fundamental to analyze the institutions and should be given the importance they deserve, to focus on the practices and the people who make them work allows us to know the institutions from a different place.
