Los antecedentes migratorios en la Dimensión Social Educativa (DOE): El caso de las segundas generaciones en España

    En el marco de los estudios sobre la dimensión social educativa (DOE) la preocupación por identificar y eliminar las barreras que hacia la educación existen en la sociedades europeas centran su atención en dos ejes de gran importancia en la actualidad, en primer lugar, las barreras socioeconómicas y su impacto sobre las condiciones de aprendizaje y el abandono escolar, y, en segundo lugar, la integración social de los hijos de trabajadores internacionales. En este trabajo analizamos la influencia de ambos factores y su efecto sobra la expansión de la educación postobligatoria en la población española. Encontramos grandes diferencias entre los jóvenes entre 18 y 24 años de edad que no alcanzan el logro educativo pertenecientes a las segundas generaciones nacidas en matrimonios coétnicos (44,20%) y las “generaciones 1.5” (46,57%), respecto a la población autóctona del mismo grupo de edad (36,84%).

    In the framework of studies on the social educational dimension (SED), the concern to identify and eliminate the barriers to education that exist in European societies focus on two axes of great importance today, first of all, the barriers socioeconomic and its impact on learning conditions and school dropout, and, secondly, the social integration of the children of international workers. In this work we analyze the influence of both factors and their effect on the expansion of post-compulsory education in the Spanish population. We found great differences between young people between 18 and 24 years of age who did not achieve educational attainment, belonging to the second generations born in marriages of the same origin (44.20%) and the “1.5 generations” (46.57%), with respect to the indigenous population of the same age group (36.84%).
