    En México el homeschooling existe desde hace varias décadas, pero últimamente se ha intensificado. A pesar de ello, en nuestro país no hay ninguna legislación federal que regule esta actividad, aunque sí tratados internacionales que establecen precedentes importantes en materia de homeschooling, especialmente en relación con los derechos de los estudiantes. En ese sentido, el objetivo de este artículo es profundizar en la comprensión de los elementos históricos y legales que sentaron las bases para el contexto actual del homeschooling en México e ilustrar cómo la falta de regulaciones específicas para esta modalidad educativa puede afectar el derecho a la educación de las niñas y niños mexicanos

    Homeschooling in Mexico has been implemented for several decades, but lately, it has intensified. However, in our country there is no federal legislation that regulates this activity, but there are international treaties that establish important precedents for homeschooling, especially in relation to the students’ rights. In this sense, the objective of this article is to deepen in the understanding of the historical and legal elements that laid the foundations for the current context of homeschooling in Mexico and to illustrate how the lack of specific regulations for this educational modality can affect the right to education of Mexican girls and boys
