    Este artículo tiene como objetivo verificar si el trabajo informal constituye un obstáculo para el ejercicio del derecho al trabajo de los trabajadores informales de América Latina. Para ello, revisamos los documentos de la OIT con el fin de conocer la magnitud del empleo informal en la región, seguidamente identificamos el contenido del derecho fundamental al trabajo y posteriormente verificamos si en el caso de los trabajadores informales se cumple con estos contenidos. Tras esa revisión y análisis hallamos que un porcentaje importante de trabajadores de la región encuentra obstáculos para hacer efectivo su derecho fundamental al trabajo.

    This article aims to verify whether informal work constitutes an obstacle to the exercise of the right to work for informal workers in Latin America. To do this, we review the ILO documents in order to know the magnitude of informal employment in the region, then we identify the content of the fundamental right to work and later we verify if these contents are met in the case of informal workers. After this review and analysis, we found that a significant percentage of workers in the region encounter obstacles to making their fundamental right to work effective.

    Cet article vise à vérifier si le travail informel constitue un obstacle à l’exercice du droit au travail des travailleurs informels en Amérique latine. Pour ce faire, nous passerons en revue les documents de l’OIT afin de connaître l'ampleur de l’emploi informel dans la région, puis nous identifierons le contenu du droit fondamental au travail. Par la suite, nous vérifierons si ces contenus sont respectés dans le cas des travailleurs informels. Après cet examen et cette analyse, nous constaterons qu’un pourcentage important de travailleurs de la région rencontrent des obstacles pour rendre effectif leur droit fondamental au travail.
