Etnorock e identidades juveniles entre nahuas y popolucas de Veracruz

    En la porción veracruzana del Istmo de Tehuantepec, algunos jóvenes popolucas de la localidad de Sayula de Alemán han encontrado en las creaciones estéticas del hip hop, el son jarocho y el grafitti el medio para construir pertenencias identitarias de género, juveniles y étnicas. Estos jóvenes se han apropian de estilos, modos y discursos provenientes de las industriales culturales en un entrecruce con sus anclajes locales en el que seleccionan, resignifican y recrean tradiciones culturales autóctonas. Estas acciones cristalizan negociaciones y fricciones al interior de las unidades domésticas y sociales frente a las hegemonías del contexto adulto, tradicional y político que permean sus mundos de vida.

    In the Veracruz region of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, some young Popolucas from the town of Sayula de Alemán have found in the aesthetic creations of hip hop, son jarocho and graffiti the way to build gender, youth, and ethnic identity. These young people have appropriated styles, ways and discourses from cultural industries in an intersection with their local anchors in which they select, resignify and recreate indigenous cultural traditions. These actions crystallize negotiations and frictions within the domestic and social units faced of the hegemonies of the adult, traditional and political context that permeate their worlds of life.
