Resumen de La vuelta a lo sensible: una revisión estética del concepto de multitud

Este artículo se propone revisar la noción de multitud desde un punto de vista estético.
La primera parte del estudio atiende a la disputa teórica planteada por los filósofos posmarxistas Toni Negri y Paolo Virno que establece una oposición radical entre los conceptos de pueblo y multitud. La segunda parte se apoya en los escritos de Jacques Rancière, Hannah Arendt y Judith Butler para proponer un “retorno a lo sensible” que sea capaz de romper la drástica distinción entre pueblo y multitud y arrastre este último concepto hacia el plano sensible.

his article will review the concept of ‘multitude’ from an aesthetic point of view. Firstly, the theoretical dispute brought forth by the post-Marxist philosophers Toni Negri and Paolo Verno in regard to the radical opposition of the concepts of ‘people’ and ‘multitude’ will be analyzed. Secondly, through the critical examination of the 191works by Jacques Rancière, Hannah Arendt, and Judith Butler it will be suggested a return to sensibility as an alternative which might be able to break said drastic dichotomy between the concepts of 'people' and 'multitude';
thus, leading the latter toward the realm of the sensible.
