La Teoría de restricciones para los procesos de gestión y control en las IPS del Caribe Colombiano

    Objetivo: Este trabajo buscó identificar las restricciones físicas y políticas que existen en las IPS del Distrito Especial, Industrial y Portuario de Barranquilla, Atlántico, Colombia.  Metodología: Se diseñó un instrumento de recolección de información a partir de preguntas tipo escala, direccionado a una muestra de 149 IPS de Barranquilla. Resultados: Se evidencia que las restricciones físicas más preponderantes en las IPS tienen que ver con la infraestructura, la materia prima y el capital humano; mientras que las restricciones políticas, se centran en relaciones de autoridad vertical, dificultades en la medición de la efectividad y eficiencia de los procesos y problemas respecto a la colaboratividad y relaciones interpersonales laborales. Conclusiones: Los problemas de productividad y competitividad de las IPS no radican exclusivamente en el pago tardío de las EPS o ARL; al respecto, también son importantes las dificultades en la gestión ocasionadas por limitantes o restricciones físicas y políticas.

    Objective: Restrictions, this research article is carried out with the purpose of identifying the physical and political restrictions that exist in the IPS of the Special, Industrial and Port District of Barranquilla, Atlántico, Colombia. Methodology: For the development of the study, an instrument for collecting information was designed based on scale type questions, addressed to a sample of 149 IPS in Barranquilla. Results: The results of the study show that the most important physical constraints in the IPS have to do with infrastructure, raw materials and human capital; While political constraints focus on relationships of vertical authority, difficulties in measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of processes, and problem|s regarding collaborative and interpersonal labor relations.  Conclusions: The problems of productivity and competitiveness of the IPS, do not lie exclusively in the late payment of the EPS or ARL, but in the difficulties in the management caused by limitations or physical and political restrictions.
