    Estas páginas pretenden ofrecer una panorámica del proceso de rechazo e integración protagonizado por aquellos que, con una ascendencia judía notoria o documentada en su momento, pretendieron acceder al clero secular y hacer carrera en el mismo. La ciudad de Córdoba será el marco geográfico y el período comprendido entre mediados del siglo XV y finales del XVII el espacio temporal de este estudio. Para comprender el fenómeno, atenderé a factores como el desarrollo de los estatutos de limpieza de sangre en instituciones eclesiásticas y compararé espacios de negociación distintos en función de la mediatización ejercida por la Corona o por la Santa Sede.

    These pages aim to offer an overview of the process of rejec-tion and integration led by those who, with a notorious or documented Jewish ancestry at the time, intended to access the secular clergy and make a career in it. The city of Cordoba will be the geographical frame-work and the period between the middle of the XV century and the end of the XVII the temporary space of this study. To understand the phenome-non, I will attend to factors such as the development of the statutes of purity of blood in local ecclesiastical institutions and compare different negotiation spaces depending on the mediatization exercised by the Crown or by the Holy See.
