Resumen de Alfons el Benigne i el govern municipal de Barcelona: aspectes concrets

  Este trabajo tiene por objeto estudiar la relación entre el soberano catalanoaragonés Alfonso el Benigno y el gobierno municipal de Barcelona, entre 1327 y 1356. Son analizados algunos aspectos políticos, como la actitud del rey en la guerra entre Barcelona y Genova, que en un principio fue una iniciativa sólo barcelonesa y que no contó con el apoyo real hasta un momento posterior a la ruptura de hostilidades. También son tratados algunos aspectos económicos, como las subvenciones prestadas al rey por la ciudad, que originaron las primeras imposiciones municipales, y los derechos que el rey percibía de la ciudad. Finalmente, se examina un punto de fricción entre la ciudad y el rey, cuando algunas ordenanzas municipales (bandos sobre armas o sobre indumentaria femenina) fueron vulneradas por el soberano.

  This study looks into the relationship between the Catalan-Aragonese sovereign Alfons the Benign and the municipal government of Barcelona between 1327 and 1356. It analyses some political aspects, such as Alfons's attitude in the war between Barcelona and Genoa, which was initially an initiative of Barcelona alone and did not receive the King's support until after the outbreak of hostilities. The study also deals with some economic aspects, such as the subsidies provided by the King to the city, which led to the first municipal taxes, and the revenues that the King received from the city. Lastly, an examination is made of a point of friction between the city and the King, when some municipal ordinances (edicts on weapons or on women's attire) were broken by the sovereign.
