    Este artículo ofrece una visión general del estado actual de nuestros conocimientos de la lengua lusitana y sugiere potenciales líneas de investigación. Se ocupa de la del lusitano, incluidos los subsistemas onomásticos, su fonología (desde una perspectiva histórica comparada) según se refleja en el sistema de escritura, la morfología y el léxico. Se presta una especial atención a la situación sociolingüística y a su afiliación lingüística.

    Dieser Beitrag bietet eine Darstellung des gegenwärtigen Kenntnisstandes im Bereich des Lusitanischen und Vorschläge für weitere Forschung. Er behandelt die Überlieferung einschließlich onomastischer Subsysteme, die (historisch-vergleichende) Phonologie, wie sie uns in der Verschriftlichung entgegen tritt, Morphologie und Lexikon. Besondere Beachtung finden die soziolinguistische Situation und die sprachgenetische Einordnung.

    This paper provides an overview of the current state of knowledge of the Lusitanian language and suggests potentials for further research. It covers the transmission of Lusitanian including the onomastic subsystems, the (historical-comparative) phonology as reflected in the writing system, morphology and lexicon. Emphasis is placed on the sociolinguistic situation and the linguistic affiliation.
