    Ao longo dos anos, muito se tem discutido acerca do estágio propriamente dito, os conceitos e reflexões sobre a relação de teoria e prática são bastantes presentes na literatura da área. As modificações históricas e tecnológicas que dialogam com a sociedade e ainda com as instituições de ensino convocam as partes envolvidas, a se deparar com questionamentos relacionados estreitamente acerca da formação profissional.

    Justamente pensando nessa relação da formação do profissional, educação e mundo do trabalho, que a pesquisa em questão propõe como objetivo, abordar a questão dos estágios, no ensino superior em ciência da informação. Pode-se dizer que é uma das modalidades existente dentro da Universidade, que é importante para a formação profissional, o estágio, discorre com a junção da teoria adquirida e a experiência prática. A pesquisa propõe dar continuidade nos estudos sobre estágio, ressaltando sua relevância, histórica, social e econômica para região e a formação do graduando do curso de Ciências da Informação e da Documentação da Faculdade de Filosofia, Ciências e Letras de Ribeirão Preto. Com relação aos procedimentos metodológicos, fundamentaram-se em uma abordagem do tipo qualitativa e quantitativa, de modo realizado em duas etapas: a) pesquisa de análise descritiva e interpretativa do tema, busca nas referências teóricas, as principais questões estabelecidas pelos objetivos propostos. b) aplicação de um questionário para coleta de dados e informações sobre os pontos referentes à importância do estágio; atividades realizadas; dificuldades e a existência da teoria e prática. A pesquisa apresenta algumas considerações sobre o estágio, que é importante para a formação do individuo frente à sociedade, além de contribuir para o aprendizado constituído em sala de aula, para de experiências entre os estudantes e no direcionamento da carreira como profissional da informação.

    Throughout the years, much has been argued concerning the period of training properly said, the concepts and reflections on the relation of practical theory and are sufficient gifts in the literature of the area. The historical and technological modifications that still dialogue with the society and with the institutions of education convoke the involved parts, if to come across narrowly with questionings related concerning the professional formation. Exactly thinking about this relation of the formation of the professional, education and world of the work, that the research in question considers as objective, to approach the question of the periods of training, in superior education in science of the information. It can be said that she is one of the modalities, existing inside of the University that is important for the professional formation, the period of training, discourses with the junction of the acquired theory and the practical experience. The research considers giving to continuity in the studies on period of training, standing out its relevance, historical, social and economic for e region the formation of graduating of the course of Sciences of the Information and the Documentation of the FFCLRP in University São Paulo. With regard to the methodology procedures, they had been based on a boarding of the qualitative and quantitative type, of way carried through in two stages: a) research of descriptive and interpretative analysis of the subject, search’s in the theoretical references, the main questions established for the considered objectives. b) application of a questionnaire for collection of data and information on the referring points to the importance of the period of training; carried through activities; difficulties and the existence of the practical theory and. The research presents some considerations on the period of training that is important for the formation of the individual front to the society, beyond contributing for the learning consisting in classroom, stops of experiences between the students and in the aiming of the career as professional of the information.
