Resumen de Dos cavidades con morfologías hipogénicas en Lucena del Cid (Provincia de Castellón)

La descripción y estudio de las cuevas de origen hipogénico en la provincia de Castellón se encuentra en su etapa inicial. En este contexto se presentan dos cavidades donde se han localizado morfologías hipogénicas y minerales que justifican su formación. Las dos cavidades que se presentan, ubicadas en el mismo entorno, destacan por sus afloramientos de óxidos de hierro al igual que numerosas explotaciones de los alrededores. La presencia de este mineral ha propiciado su explotación minera desde antiguo. Se describen las formas de sus paredes y techos, tomando como base las morfologías de flujo ascendente ampliamente descritas en la bibliografía espeleológica actual.

The description and study of the caves of hypogenic origin in the province of Castellón is in its initial stage. In this context there are two cavities where hypogenic and mineral morphologies have been found that justify their formation. The caves that we present, located near each other, stand out due to their outcrops of iron oxides, as well as numerous minings in the surrounding. The presence of this mineral has propitiated its mining exploitation since ancient times. The forms of its walls and ceilings are describes, based on the ascending flow morphologies widely described in the current speleological bibliography.
