A dimensão conceitual da análise de domínio na literatura cientifica de Ciência da Informação

    Domain-analysis can be considered an important approach to the evaluation of science because it makes possible to identify the conditions for the construction and the socialization of scientific knowledge. This study aims to investigate the subject «domain-analysis» in the LIS scientific literature by means of a subject search in LISA (1990-2012). The results (16 papers) were analyzed in terms of cited authors (by means of a PAJEK´s citation network) in order to indentify the theoretical background of the mentionned domain. It is possible to observe two predomint networks: the first one id leadered by the Scimago Research Group and presents a strong conexion to traditional Bibliometric and Scientometric approaches (White, McCain, etc). The second network reveals an interface between domain-analysis and knowledge organization (Hjorland, Albrechtsen, Smiraglia, etc). It is possible to conclude that this domain receives multidisciplinary theoretical influences. It is also possible to confirm Hjorland´s conceptions in the sense that domain-analysis is specially important for the epistemological development of knowledge organziation, because it makes possible to characterize and to identify the dynamics of specific discoursive communities.

    A análise de domínio constitui uma importante abordagem para caracterização e avaliação da ciência, na medida em que permite identificar as condições pelas quais o conhecimento científico se constrói e se socializa. Por meio da análise de domínio torna-se possível verificar o que é efetivamente importante ou significativo em um dado campo, de tal modo que aspectos como tendências, padrões, processos, agentes e seus relacionamentos possam ser identificados e analisados. Dessa forma, objetivou-se analisar o tema Analise de Domínio na literatura cientifica da Ciência da Informação, a partir de uma busca por assunto (palavras-chave) na Base LISA (Library and Information Science Abstract)1 , no período de 1990-2012
