    El verbo cruµpaivffi expresa una amplia variedad de significados a través del esquema de complementación Agente-Sociativo; sin embargo, los léxicos anotan un haz exiguo de empleos que parecen diferenciarse semánticamente y sintácticamente de los anteriores.El análisis de tales empleos en tres aspectos (la alteración semántica del verbo,la ausencia del término sociativo,y la expresión regular del instrumento: las extremidades) revela que existen dos variantes básicas(11oai cruµpaivc.o y tw 1tooe cruµpaivw), que, examinadas a la luz de los paralelos que ofrece el verbo simple (los poéticos 11oai paivffi/ 1tooa paívm), han de interpretarse como variantes de un marco pre dicativo alternativo que muestra una diversa orientación del preverbio sociativo.

    cruµpaivw conveys a wide range of meanings through the (two-places) predicativa trame Agent-Sociative; the lexicons include, nonetheless, a small set of instances in which the verb dis plays different semantic and syntactic properties. A thoroughful analysis of those instances -car ried on byfocusing on three issues, such as the semantic shift in the verb, the absence of the Socia· tive, and the ubiquitous expression of the lnstrument- shows that two varieties should be identi· fied:1tocrl cruµPaivm and tci.> 1tÓÓE cruµpaivc.o. The comparison with the clase constructions displayed by the simple verb (poetic 1toai paívc.o and nóóa Pnivc.o) suggests that the cruµpaivm construct ions should be relatad to a different predicativa trame in which the Sociative term is no longer orientated to the Agent.
