Frente a las diversas interpretaciones de la fábula hesiódica del gavilán y el ruiseñor,por separado o juntamente con los tres sucesivos párrafos exhortativos sobre la justicia, alternativa mente dirigidos a los reyes-jueces y a Persas, el presente trabajo se propone examinar la sección como un todo clave en la organización del poema y cuyas aparentes incoherencias derivan de no ver el intento de adecuación entre la distribución y grado de profundidad del mensaje y la capaci dad intelectual del destinatario en cada caso.

Regarding the different interpretations of the Hesiodic fable of the hawk and the nightingale, independently or together with the three subsequent paragraphs exhorting the kings and Perses on justice, this paper aims to examine this section as a whole, and one that is important in the design of the poem and whose apparent inconsistences originate from not seeing that it is trying to balance the distribution and the degree of complexity with the intellectual capacity of each of the addressees.
