    Se describe e ilustra una especie nueva del género Ammothereva Lyneborg, de la familia de los terévidos. La especie, Ammothereva biflava sp. n., fue capturada en el sureste ibérico, en una zona semiárida. Se cita este género por primera vez de España y se amplía así su distribución conocida hacia el oeste paleártico

    A new species of the therevid genus Ammothereva Lyneborg, Ammothereva biflava sp. n., is described and figured. It was collected in south-eastern Spain in a semi-arid area. This genus is recorded for the first time from Spain and its known distribution is thus extended to the Western Palaearctic.
