  En este trabajo abordaremos la relación entre la dramaturgia lopesca y la novelística de Giraldi Cinzio, centrándonos más en detalle en El favor agradecido, comedia perteneciente al repertorio del primer Lope, y el cuento II-1 de Gli Ecatommiti. El propósito es el de examinar a fondo los mecanismos operativos que transforman y alteran la materia novelística. Según se tratará de demostrar, estas variaciones podrían justificarse por la adhesión a un determinado patrón dramatúrgico.

  In this essay we will address the relationship between Lope’s dramaturgy and Giraldi Cinzio’s short novels, by focusing especially on El favor agradecido, a comedy belonging to the earlier Lope’s repertoire, and the novella II-1 of Gli Ecatommiti. The purpose is examining the operational mechanisms that transform and alter the novelistic material. As it will be tried to demonstrate, these variations could be justified by the adherence to a specific dramaturgical pattern.
