Este trabajo es una investigación de carácter fundamentalmente documental orientado por el paradigma de la Historia Social o Historia Síntesis que busca hacer aportes que permitan comprender mejor la relación del Libertador Simón Bolívar con los animales, su uso, su manejo y su atención en Venezuela, Nueva Granada y Perú durante la guerra de independencia del reino español, evidenciada en decisiones que a la postre pudieron resultar determinantes en el desarrollo y desenlace del conflicto.

This work is a research, fundamentally documentary, oriented by the paradigm of Social History or Synthesis History that seeks to make contributions that allow improve understanding the relationship of the Liberator Simón Bolívar with the animals, their use, their management and their attention in Venezuela, Nueva Granada and Peru during the war of independence of the Spanish kingdom, evidenced in decisions that ultimately could be decisive in the development and outcome of the conflict.
