This paper supposes an approximation to the universal phenomenon of the literature of memory. The paper is structured methodologically on two ways: on the one hand, the analysis of theorical references; on the other, the study of testimony and literature texts written by victims of historical events such as the Soviet Gulag and Nazist concentration camps, with the aim of describing the common formal, thematic and pragmatic traits in this type of texts, as example of literate of memory.
