El fetichismo político ante la democracia participativa en México

    La democracia participativa en México se ha visto afectada no solo por el desconocimiento de los ciudadanos respecto a los mecanismos y el sistema de políticas públicas, sino por la falta de información y la escasa atención por parte quienes gobiernan, y ¿Cuál es el punto central que conlleva a ello? el deseo de ejercer el poder sin el contrapeso popular, que indubitablemente tiene como causal que exista una falta de participación ciudadana. Después de numerosas investigaciones, realizadas por reconocidos investigadores, profesores e incluso filósofos, se aproxima la conclusón de que la democracia en sí, es ficticia, pues pese a estar en pleno siglo XXI, aún se cree que el sufragio como mecanismo de participación ciudadana es la única manera de incidir en decisiones que sin duda, conciernen a todos los ciudadanos más allá de condiciones sociales, económicas, políticas y culturales, permitiendo con ello que quien ejerce el poder obvie los límites jurídico-políticos y se genere un retroceso en los avances democráticos que se pregonan. Puesto que, en muchos de los casos, se corre el riesgo de caer en un sistema autoritario y el ciudadano limita su papel dentro del sistema a ser espectador del ámbito público. Por lo anterior, la presente aportación abordará el tema de participación ciudadana, analizando los avances y retrocesos históricos que se han analizado a lo largo de los años, así como las diferencias y la relación que existe respecto a otro tipo de democracias.

    Participatory democracy in Mexico has been affected not only by citizens’ lack of knowledge about the mechanisms and system of public policies, but also by the lack of information and the scant attention paid by those who govern. And what is the objective of this? The desire to exercise power without a popular counterweight, which undoubtedly has as its cause a lack of citizen participation. After numerous investigations carried out by renowned researchers, professors and even philosophers, the conclusion is coming that democracy, in itself, is fictitious, since, despite the fact that we are in the middle of the 21st century, there is still belief in suffrage, a mechanism for citizen participation, as the only way to influence decisions that, without a doubt, concern all citizens beyond social, economic, political and cultural conditions. This belief allows those who exercise power to ignore the legal-political limits and generate a backward step in the democratic advances that are being proclaimed; in many cases there is a risk of falling into an authoritarian system and the citizen, within this system, is limited to being a spectator of the public sphere. Therefore, this contribution will address the issue of citizen participation, analyzing the historical advances and setbacks that have been analyzed over the years, as well as the differences and the relationship that exists with respect to other kinds of democratic dimensions.
