  Las elecciones presidenciales en Estados Unidos en 2020 significan un doble reto para la sociedad norteamericana, que debe de elegir entre dos opciones muy distintas, en un ambiente muy polarizado, con la pandemia activa y con trágicas consecuencias humanas, sociales y económicas. También para la sociedad internacional al mismo tiempo, porque el próximo mandato será decisivo para determinar la orientación del orden global resultante del final del covid pero también de la crisis del orden liberal. Este artículo pretende contribuir a la disminución de la incertidumbre a partir del análisis de algunas tendencias de cambio y continuidad en las líneas de política exterior de la primera potencia.

  Presidential elections in the United States in 2020 means a double challenge. First for the American society that has to choose between two very different options in a very polarized environment, and with the pandemic still active and producing tragically human, social and economic, consequences. And for the international society at the same time, because the next mandate will be vital to determine the orientation of the global order at the end of the Covid crisis but as well, in the real crisis of the liberal order. This article try to reduce the uncertainty analyzing some trends of change and continuity in the foreign policy lines in the first power.
