    La China de la era de Xi sabe que es el momento en el que se juega alcanzar en las próximas tres décadas el «sueño chino», que no es otra cosa que alcanzar el esplendor histórico que dicen merecer tras siglos de sentir humillaciones por parte de Occidente.

    Este artículo presenta el modo en que el liderazgo chino proclama y el pueblo chino percibe las aspiraciones y el nuevo papel de la gran potencia asiática en el orden internacional emergente y se pregunta si quieren ser la reina del tablero geopolítico.

    Cuentan con la ventaja de que se creen el papel que deben jugar, procuran no proclamar los próximos movimientos a los cuatro vientos y, sobre todo, ejercitan la paciencia confuciana para esperar la buena oportunidad.

    Xi era China knows that the time is at stake to achieve the ‘Chinese Dream’ over the next three decades, which is nothing less than achieving the historical splendour they say they deserve after centuries of feeling humiliation from the West. This article presents the way in which the Chinese leadership proclaims and the Chinese people perceive the aspirations and new role of the gr eat Asian power in the emerging international order and asks whether they wish to be the queen of the geopolitical chessboard. They have the advantage of believing they have a role to play, are careful not to proclaim the next moves to the four winds, and, above all, exercise Confucian patience in waiting for the right opportunity
