  • Resumen
    • Based on plentiful of high resolution seismic profiles, sediment waves are identified in deepwater areas of the eastern Qiongdongnan basin (QDNB), and their distribution and seismic features are illuminated. Furthermore, combined with the bathymetry, the potential origins of these sediment waves are discussed. Their seismic features indicate that most of them should be overflows of turbidity currents flowing along the central canyon although several slide and bottom current origin ones have also been identified somewhere. Further investigation should focus on their component for reservoir prediction objective.
