Resumen de Proyectos y debates en las revistas culturales de los años veinte: los casos de Estética (1924-1925) y Martín Fierro (1924-1927)

En este artículo propongo abordar las diversas modulaciones que, en Argentina y en Brasil, sostienen los proyectos y debates de los jóvenes intelectuales en torno al problema de la construcción de una cultura nacional a partir del análisis de dos revistas emblemáticas de los años veinte: la revista modernista Estética (1924-1925) y la revista argentina Martín Fierro (1924-1927). Una primera lectura del material sugiere que estos dos emprendimientos son muy diferentes entre sí, en su formato, sintaxis, periodicidad y duración; sin embargo el sentido del análisis conjunto reside en que ambos se ubican en un momento de giro y redefinición de los objetivos de la renovación estética. Dilucidar los diversos debates, proyectos, encuentros y desencuentros a través de los cuales los jóvenes intelectuales argentinos y brasileños expresaron su preocupación por la construcción de una cultura nacional en los años veinte es el objetivo central de este trabajo.

In this article, I propose approaching different modulations which support the projects and debates of young intellectuals around the problem of the construction of a national culture in Argentina and Brazil. It is based on the analysis of two emblematic magazines of the 1920s: the modernist magazine Estética (1924-1925) and the Argentine magazine Martín Fierro (1924-1927). A first reading of the material suggests that these two ventures are very different from each other as regards their format, syntax, periodicity, and duration. However, a joint analysis is based on the fact that both magazines belong to a turning point and redefinition of the objectives of the aesthetic renovation. Elucidating the diverse debates, projects, agreements and disagreements through which the young Argentine and Brazilian intellectuals expressed their concern for the construction of a national culture in the twenties is the central objective of this work.
