La desaparición de 43 estudiantes el 26 de septiembre de 2014 en el estado de Guerrero, México generó una movilización sin precedente en la historia reciente del país. La movilización estuvo impulsada por el dolor y la indignación, pero también por la compasión y la empatía, emociones que han sostenido la demanda pública de justicia y verdad durante seis años. A partir de la idea de nexo social e índice de agencia de Alfred Gell, en este artículo se analizan tres imágenes que han acompañado la movilización y han configurado una política visual centrada en la responsabilidad con el Otro.
The disappearance of 43 students in the state of Guerrero, Mexico, on September 26, 2014 generated a mobilization without precedent in the recent history of the country. The mobilization was driven by pain and outrage, but also by compassion and empathy, emotions that have sustained the public demand for justice and truth for six years. Based on Alfred Gell's idea of agency index, this article analyzes three images that have accompanied the mobilization and have configured a visual policy focused on responsibility with the Other.
