    En este ensayo realizaremos un recorrido a través de una serie de representaciones textuales y visuales del gesto harpocrático, que consiste en poner el dedo sobre la boca para invitar al silencio. El foco principal está en el emblema "Silentium" de Alciato y en las distintas maneras de concebir la emblemática en el barroco.

    In this essay we will go over through a series of textual and visual representations of the harpocratic gesture, which consists in putting the finger on the lips to invite to silence. The main focus is on the emblem "Silentium" of Alciato and the different ways of conceiving the emblems in the Baroque period.
