Assédio sexual nas redes sociais: Vítimas e agressores

    Nos últimos anos, com o desenvolvimento das tecnologias, surgiram novos tipos de violência - cyberbulling, gromming, assédio sexual - que suscitam uma preocupação com o nível de impacto das redes sociais na sociedade. O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar as características das vítimas, dos/das agressores/as, as estratégias utilizadas e seu impacto na vida das pessoas, por meio de uma pesquisa online. A amostra é constituída por 543 participantes: 462 mulheres e 81 homens, onde todos referem utilizar as redes sociais. Os resultados mostram que 51,7% das pessoas relatam ter sido vítimas de assédio sexual nas redes sociais digitais, principalmente mulheres, jovens e estudantes. Embora as vítimas considerem que os comportamentos perpetrados sobre elas são perturbadores e as afetam negativamente, essa preocupação não se deve ao aumento do número de pedidos de ajuda e denúncia. Nesse sentido, é imprescindível o estabelecimento de medidas preventivas e alertar para a denúncia

    In recent years, with the development of technologies, new types of violence have emerged - cyberbulling, gromming, sexual harassment - which lead to a concern about the impact of social networks on society. This study aimed to evaluate the characteristics of the victims, of/of the aggressors/as, the strategies used and their impact on people’s lives, through an online survey. The sample is composed of 543 participants: 462 women and 81 men, all reported using social networks. The results show that 51.7% report having been victims of sexual harassment on digital social networks, are mostly women, young people and students. Although the victims consider the behaviors perpetrated on them as disturbing and negatively affecting them, this concern is not seen in the increase in the number of requests for help and reports made.
