Luis Olariaga visitó la Argentina en 1924 como invitado a un Congreso Internacional organizado por el Museo Social Argentino, disertó en la Universidad de Buenos Aires, en otras instituciones argentinas y de la colectividad española. Este viaje, financiado por la Institución Cultural Española, fue fecundo en imágenes, reflexiones y propuestas. En Revista de Occidente y en sus artículos en El Sol se advierten arquetipos, prejuicios y grados de valoraciones sobre los inmigrantes españoles en la Argentina, sus instituciones y sus notables. Empeñado en contrarrestar los adversos estereotipos de inmigrantes, insistió en la construcción de la comunidad científica hispanoamericana con un compromiso concreto del Estado español: su preocupación primordial era presentar una imagen moderna y científica de España en América.

Luis Olariaga visited Argentina in 1924 as a guest at an International Congress organized by the Argentine Social Museum, lectured at the University of Buenos Aires, others Argentine institutions and the Spanish community. This trip, financed by the Spanish Cultural Institution, was fruitful in images, reflections and proposals. In Revista de Occidente and in his articles in El Sol, archetypes, prejudices and evaluations on Spanish immigrants in Argentina, their institutions and their notables are noted. Endeavored to reduce the adverse stereotypes of immigrants, he insisted on the construction of the Spanish-American scientific community with a concrete commitment from the Spanish State: his main concern was to present a modern an scientific image of Spain in America.
