    El artículo se plantea analizar la propuesta narrativa presentada por Isaac Rosa en la novela El vano ayer. Tras una breve introducción sobre los dos enfoques narrativos que más éxito tienen en la narrativa actual sobre guerra civil y franquismo, se examinará la propuesta de Rosa. Este ensayo se propone identificar las diferencias y las semejanzas existentes entre El vano ayer y dichos enfoques para averiguar si efectivamente se trata de una propuesta ‘nueva’.

    This article analyses Rosa’s narrative project in the novel El vano ayer. After a brief introduction to the two commonest current narrative approaches to the Spanish Civil War and Francoism, Rosa’s proposal will be presented. The aim of the essay is to identify both the differences and the similarities between Rosas’s novel and these two approaches, in order to figure out if that of El vano ayer can be considered a ‘new’ one.
