    In “Structural Racism”, Silvio Almeida expands the concepts of race and racism to the structural dimension of society, by elaborating, based on social theory, a careful analysis of the materialization of the concepts. From the ideological, political, legal and economic perspective, the author traces racism and its manifestations present in all these spheres, so that it structures and is structured by them. The text fulfills its purpose of analysis, as well as being didactic in describing the investigated relationships for unfamiliar readers. Therefore, the work is essential for anyone who wants to understand Brazilian society and its operations, whether academic or not, with the possibility of serving as a guide for anti-racist political actions in the future.

    Em “Racismo Estrutural”, Silvio Almeida expande os conceitos de raça e racismo para a dimensão estrutural da sociedade, ao elaborar, a partir da teoria social, uma análise criteriosa da materialização dos conceitos. A partir da perspectiva ideológica, política, jurídica e econômica, o autor traça o racismo e suas manifestações presentes em todas essas esferas, de maneira que o mesmo estruture e seja estruturado por elas. O texto cumpre seu propósito de análise, assim como é didático em descrever as relações investigadas para leitores não familiarizados.
