Geological and geomorphological features, as well as active geological processes occurring In acertain geographical area, count among the most relevant factors to propose a site as a legally protected area, e.g. Natural Park or other. However, typically, little attention is paid to geologicalvalues during its subsequent management. The purpose of this seminar is to raise a debate, and produce a document, on the important role geology can play in the management process of naturalprotected areas.
