Estudio sistemático de un ilion de Sauropoda del yacimiento Pino de Jarque 2 en Riodeva (Teruel)

  • The bone studied in this work is an ilium founded in "Pino de Jarque 2" (Riodeva, Teruel) from Riodeva basin from inside of South Iberian Sub-Basin. In Riodeva area there are two levels. The oldone (Weald facies) is formed by shales and sandstones with cross setting and the second one is theUtrillas Formation that is placed above it discordantly. The "Pino de Jarque" locality 2 is situatedin the weald facies. The age interval is long, between Jurassic-Cretaceous boundary to LowerAlbian, in fact it is under study. The ilium is right. The lateral profile of the dorsal margin is stronglyconvex. Cranial process of ilium lies in a vertical plane and is directed craniolaterally and it lateral profile is triangular and tapers to a point. The last, pubic peduncle has an acute angled with respect to the sacral axis. It is included in Diplodocidae clade because the character in thepreacetabular laminae is similar to Diplodocus.
