Resumen de Medicalização da educação e violência estrutural

  Uma atmosfera universalizante de medicalização da infância, perante uma multiplicidade de diagnósticos e terapêuticas que remetem para um “biologismo extremo”, negligencia a complexidade dos processos subjetivos do ser humano. Rótulos e etiquetas, mascarados de diagnósticos e o abuso de psicotrópicos estão aí, mundializados, a responder à mundialização de um Sistema que, num beco sem saída, numa crise de extensão mundial em que o lucro entra num estádio em que só consegue arrastar para trás a humanidade, não vê barreiras à amplificação da sua condição predadora. No campo da medicalização da educação, a indústria farmacêutica vem cumprindo à saciedade esse desígnio, com consequências que estamos muito longe de ter dados para avaliar na sua profundidade e complexidade. No que diz respeito à medicalização da educação escolar, a atual situação de abrangência naturalizada e politicamente legitimada da transposição para a educação do modelo diagnóstico-tratamento e o apelo dramaticamente excessivo à via medicamentosa, configuram e ilustram a amplidão desses efeitos.
