Resumen de Ecologías de la imagen digital: De la representación a la performatividad, de la interacción a la intra-acción

El artículo propone situar, acudiendo a la metáfora albertinianadel ojo humano alado, el inicio del Antropoceno en el Renacimiento. La invención de la perspectiva lineal ubica al hombre como centro del mundo y sujeto de la mirada. El paradigma perspectivista pervive en el contexto de la digitalización pero, al mismo tiempo, la centralidad de lo humano y los dualismos sujeto y objeto, humanoy no-humano, cultura y naturaleza sobre los que se sustenta entran en crisis. Las imágenes digitales se configuran en base a operaciones algorítmicas que debilitan sus dimensiones representativas en favor de la performatividad y la eficacia comunicativa. Los actuales desarrollos del materialismo digital y, en especial, la Ecología de los Medios abordan estas trasformaciones digitales y la crisis ecológica como parte de las mismas dinámicas globales. En esta línea se recurre al concepto de intra-acción, acuñado por Karen Barad, para explorar las continuidades entre individuos, artefactos, materiales y entornos, cuestionando así los discursos de la representación como reflejo y de la relación del ser humano con las imágenes como una forma de interactividad.

The article proposes to date, turning to the Abertinian metaphor of the winged human eye, the beginning of the Anthropocene in the Renaissance. The invention of the linear perspective places "man" as the center of the world and subject of the gaze. The perspectivist paradigm survives in the context of digitalization but, at the same time, the centrality of the human as well as the dualisms of subject and object, human and non-human, culture and nature on which it is based enter into crisis. Digital images are configured on the basis of algorithmic operations that weaken their representative dimensions in favour of performativity and communicative efficacy. Current developments in digital materialism and specially in Media Ecology address digital transformations and the ecological crisis as part of the same global dynamics. In this line, the concept of intra-action, coined by Karen Barad, is used to explore the continuities between individuals, artefacts, materials and environments, thus questioning the discourses of representation as a reflection and the relationship of human beings with images as a form of interactivity.
