    Este 2021 celebramos ochocientos años de aparición del Memoriale Propositiy de la Segunda Redacción de la Carta a todos los Fieles. Los dos pilares que sostienen la vida y espiritualidad de la Tercera Orden de San Francisco. Dos documentos que se encuentran, de forma irregular y sucinta,en la Regla revisada yaprobada por san Juan Pablo II con el breve Franciscanum vitae propositum. Puesto a reflexionar sobre la Regla que profesamos, surgen una serede preguntas: ¿cómo están reflejados los contenidos de estos textos en la Regla? Si fueron esenciales en las redacciones anteriores, ¿cómo tenemos ahora que justificar su estudio? ¿En qué momento y por qué se desecharon? ¿Vivimos los rasgos que deseó el Francisco penitente al profesar?Y,más aún ¿tenemos claro, seglares y religiosos,nuestro origen en una Regla que ya no compartimos?Todas estas cuestiones suponen un análisis exhaustivo que no podemos realizar aquí, pero sí pueden provocar el interés el inicio de caminos de revisión

    This 2021 we celebrate eight hundred years of the appearance of the Memoriale Propositiand of the Second Drafting of the Letter to all the Faithful. The two pillars that support the life and spirituality of the Third Order of Saint Francis. Two documents that are found, irregularly and succinctly, in the Rule revised and approved by Saint John Paul II with the brief Franciscanum vitae propositum. When we reflect on the Rule that we profess, a series of questions arises: How are the contents of these texts reflected in the Rule? If they were essential in previous essays, how do we now have to justify their study? When and why were they discarded? Do we live the traits that the penitent Francis desired when he professed? And, even more, do we lay people and religious clear our origin in a Rule that we no longer share? All these questions suppose an exhaustive analysis that we cannot carry out here, but the initiation of review paths may be of interest.
