    L’un des grands mérites de Ramón Rodríguez est d’avoir ouvert l’Espagne (et avec elle le vaste univers hispanophone) au reste du monde philosophique dont elle avait été assez largement coupée au cours des décennies asphyxiantes du franquisme. Après 1975, l’Espagne avait soif d’ouverture et besoin d’un élargissement de ses horizons philosophiques. Dans cette situation, le travail de pionnier de Ramón Rodríguez dans le champ de la phénoménologie herméneutique s’est avéré providentiel. Pour l’auteur de ces lignes, la rencontre avec Ramón Rodríguez fut aussi providentielle.

    One of the great merits of Ramón Rodríguez is to have opened Spain (and with it, the rest of the vast Spanish-speaking universe) to the rest of the philosophical world from which it had largely been cut off during the asphyxiating years of Franco’s dictatorship. After 1975, Spain was yearning for an opening and a broadening of its philosophical horizons. In this situation, the pioneer work of Ramón Rodríguez in the field of phenomenological hermeneutics would prove providential. Providential was also the encounter with Ramón Rodríguez for the author of the present paper.
