Resumen de El yacimiento al aire libre del Paleolítico Superior inicial de Agirremendi (Berango, Bizkaia)

  Se presentan los materiales líticos procedentes del yacimiento de la colina Agirremendi sita en el municipio de Berango, Uribe Kosta. La colección, reunida por prospectores locales entre 1979 y 1984, presenta características tecno-tipológicas que nos permiten adscribir este conjunto a tecnocomplejos del Paleolítico Superior Inicial, concretamente al Auriñaciense Evolucionado o al Gravetiense Antiguo. Asimismo, la relativa abundancia de elementos de sílex exógeno, la composición tecno-tipológica del conjunto y su posición desplazada de los afloramientos de sílex del Flysch nos sitúa, probablemente, en un contexto de ocupación relacionado con la explotación de recursos no restringidos al sílex. Es por ello que el estudio de los materiales de Agirremendi complementa y enriquece el conocimiento de los asentamientos al aire libre del Paleolítico Superior Inicial conocidos en Uribe Kosta.

  We present the lithic collection from the archaeological site located in the Agirremendi hill, in Berango town, Uribe Kosta. This collection, recovered by amateur prospectors between 1979 and 1984, displays techno-typological features that allows an attribution to the Early Upper Paleolithic technocomplexes, more precisely to the Evolved Aurignacian or Early Gravettian. Also, some features, as the relatively high use of exogenous flint, the techno-typological composition, and the situation of the site, slightly displaced from the regional Flysch flint sources, suggest that the activities carried out in this site were not directly related with flint processing but with the exploitation of other resources. For these, reasons the study of Agirremendi collection completes and enriches the knowledge about regional Early Upper Paleolithic open air occupations.

  Artikulu honetan Agirremendi muinoan (Berango, Uribe Kosta) aurkitutako aire zabaleko aztarnategiaren harrizko industria aurkezten dugu. 1979-tik 1984-ra bilatzaile afizionatuek lortutako bilduma honek dauzkan ezaugarri tekno-tipologikek Aurignac aldi garatua edo Gravetiar aldi zaharra teknokonplexuekin elkartzea bermatzen dute. Gainera, kanpotik ekarritako sukarrien kopuruak, ezaugarri tekno-tipologikek, eta eskualdean hain garrantzitusa den Flysch sukarri iturririk urrutiko kokapenak iradokitzen dute aztarnategi honetan egindako lanek sukarriaren ekoizpenarekin lotura zuzenik ez zutela, baizik eta beste jarduerekin. Arrazoi hauen guztiengatik eskualdeko aire zabaleko Goi Paleolito Zaharra ezagutzaren osatzeko eta aberasteko garrantzitsua da Agirremendi bildumaren analisia.
