  • Resumen
    • Field trips are recognised as a compulsory activity in advanced Geology education. Fluvial navigation in the Ebro River; and probably in many other Spanish rivers, offers great possibilities for this kind of activities, both regarding conceptual, processing and attitudinal contents. Conceptual contents comprehend a wide range of geological disciplines as well as some of Geology's general principles. Skills that can be learned in the rivers might be very useful in the future professional activity of students, specially taking into account the research struggles concerning the application of the European Water Framework Directive. Attitudinal objectives include the caution principle and love and respect to the environment. While a multidisciplinary team would optimally prepare a navigated field trip, a trans-disciplinary scope in the development of the activity is required to better prepare Geology and other sciences students to work in water management issues, a professional field that is actually demanding the incorporation of professional with different backgrounds.
