  Fue Theodore Schelleberg quien afirmó que el mayor impedimento con que se enfrentaba la metodología archivística era la falta de uniformidad terminológica.

  Desde entonces los problemas de la terminología se han dimensionado. La globalización, la corresponsabilidad y la aplicación de las nuevas tecnologías han ampliado el vocabulario y su expresión, el lenguaje, se ha enriquecido y actualizado. Pero si el vocabulario y, consecuentemente, el lenguaje son manifestación de la identidad archivística, la convivencia necesaria con los vocabularios y lenguajes de otros profesionales no puede menoscabar dicha identidad.

  Desde ese punto de vista nos hemos referido a los instrumentos para su estudio y hemos establecido la relación entre algunos términos con aplicación de su uso.

  No hay maltrato mayor para un término científico que la tergiversación que desvirtúa su identidad y conduce a la confusión.

  It was Theodore Schelleberg who claimed that the biggest impediment to archival methodology was the lack of terminological uniformity.

  Since then the problems of terminology have been sized. The globalization, co-responsibility and application of new technologies have expanded vocabulary and its expression, language, has been enriched and updated. But if vocabulary and, consequently, language are manifestations of archival identity, the necessary coexistence with the vocabularies and languages of other professionals cannot undermine that identity.

  From that point of view we have referred to the instruments for their study and have established the relationship between some terms with application of their use.

  There is no greater mistreatment for a scientific term than misrepresentation that undermines your identity and leads to confusion.
