    El objetivo de este ensayo es el de realizar una apreciación crítica de la teoría de la historia de Reinhart Koselleck centrándome en sus investigaciones sobre la historiografía y la filosofía de la historia del siglo XVIII. Intentaré mostrar que Koselleck no siempre obra con justicia respecto a las citas de las fuentes que maneja. En este sentido, el artículo que aquí se presenta contiene una buena dosis de análisis filológico tanto de los propios textos de Koselleck como de aquellos de los que él se sirve para apoyar sus argumentos. Resultará de este análisis una crítica muy ambivalente.

    Here, I conduct a critical appraisal of Reinhart Koselleck’s theory of history, focusing on his research on 18th century historiography and the philosophy of history. Drawing particularly on a philological analysis of Koselleck’s own texts and those that he uses to support his arguments, I shall attempt to demonstrate that Koselleck does not always act fairly with respect to the sources he cites. The resulting critique is highly ambivalent.
