Study of the Waterloo contest in the second centenary ( 2, o r 5), which includes various events of the battle: the Duchess of Richmond's Ball, Ligny, the Ney's charge, Grouchy and Blücher, the failed attack of the french Guard. There are concluding remarks. This report reviews the ( successful and controversial) opinions that Victor Hugo cited in his book Les misérables.
