El SARS-CoV-2, más que un huésped es un intruso, un intruso con un poder inimaginable: se introduce dentro de nuestros tejidos, debilita nuestro sistema inmunitario y daña nuestros pulmones y respiración. Pero es una criatura que ha entrado ya antes en nuestra imaginación social: en nuestros miedos, reflexiones, informaciones y especulaciones. Su carácter «fantasmal» se inserta ahora no solo como una forma de amenaza sobre la vida misma, sino como un veneno que busca socavar el zoon politikón aristotélico. El intruso acecha tanto en la dimensión biológica de nuestro cuerpo como en la dimensión social de nuestra vida en común. Hay algo de sintomático en el virus, que ha revelado un problema en los circuitos del pensar occidental: la desconfianza hacia los protocolos de objetividad, el auge de las interpretaciones salvacionistas y de las teorías conspiratorias, la sospecha de todo dato e interpretación científica y el desdén hacia la retórica dialógica del argumento.

SARS-CoV-2, more than a host, is an intruder, an intruder with unimaginable power: it enters our tissues, weakens our immune system and damages our lungs and respiration. But it is a creature that has entered our social imagination before: our fears, reflections, information and speculations. Its "ghostly" character is now inserted not only as a form of threat to life itself, but as a poison that seeks to undermine the Aristotelian zoon politikón. The intruder lurks both in the biological dimension of our body and in the social dimension of our life together. There is something symptomatic about the virus, which has revealed a problem in the circuits of Western thought:
mistrust of objectivity protocols, the rise of Salvationist interpretations and conspiracy theories, suspicion of all scientific data and interpretation, and the disdain for the dialogical rhetoric of the argument.
