    En este trabajo se quiere mostrar que la filosofía de Robert Spaemann puede sernos hoy de gran utilidad. Al contrario que otros pensadores considerados más liberales y, por tanto, en mayor conformidad con el planteamiento hegemónico actual. Pondremos por caso cómo, por contraste a posiciones como la de Peter Singer, Spaemann expone con claridad y sin tapujos su convicción de que es necesario considerar a todo ser humano como persona, especialmente al inicio y al final de la vida. Y, más concretamente, frente a Daniel Dennett, considera que toda persona metafísica es sujeto de derechos que nos deben hacer reconocerla como tal en un sentido moral. Exponemos su pensamiento por contraposición al de otros pensadores contemporáneos porque el debate y la confrontación con ellos logra dar un enfoque más claro de la perspectiva filosófica spaemanniana: estamos ante una teoría completamente contraria a los intentos de calificar y de tratar al hombre como una cosa más.

    In this work we would like to show that Robert Spaemann’s philosohpy could be of great use in today’s world. Contrary to other thinkers that are considered more liberal and that are more in agreement with the current hegemonic thought. For instance, we will show how opposite to Peter Singer, Spaemann presents clearly his conviction that it is necessary to consider every human being as a person, especially at the beginning of life and at its end. More specifically we will show here his thought as opposite to Daniel Dennett, how Spaemann considers that every metaphysical person is subject of rights that should make us acknowledge the person as such in a moral sense. Here we will present Spaemann’s thought in opposition to the other contemporary thinkers because the debate and comparison with them gives a better light to Spaemann’s philosophical perspective: we are in front of a theory that is absolutely against the attempts to qualify and treat the human being as one more thing.
