Resumen de Reformas educativas, olimpiadas filosóficas y vitalidad de la filosofía: (a modo de editorial)

Este artículo, hecho a modo de editorial, pretende ser una reflexión sobre la necesidad de que las materias de Filosofía vuelvan a tener cierto protagonismo en nuestro sistema educativo como materias obligatorias. Desde un análisis reflexivo sobre cuestiones candentes de nuestra sociedad actual en relación a los temas de la posverdad, el relativismo, la cultura televisiva (por llamarla así), se hace una reivindicación de lo que las distintas materias de Filosofía pueden aportar a nuestra juventud: el análisis crítico, la reflexión sobre la importancia de saber vivir en sociedad, el respeto por los derechos y valores de cada persona, el trato igualitario a todos dentro de la sociedad sin importar el estatus social de cada persona. El conocer valores fundamentales, morales o no, como la dignidad, el respeto, la tolerancia, donde acaba nuestra libertad y empieza la del otro, la de distinguir entre lo legal y lo legítimo, lo legal de lo justo e injusto, etc…terminando el mismo con una reivindicación de lo que las Olimpiadas filosóficas han ido aportando en estos tristes años de vigencia de la LOMCE, manteniendo así la propia vitalidad de la filosofía en nuestra juventud.

This article, written in the style of an editorial, has the purpose of being a reflection upon a necessity, namely, the necessity that school subjects related to Philosophy recover their prominence in our educational system as compulsory subjects. On the basis of a thoughtful analysis of key issues in our present society in relation to themes such as post-truth (politics), relativism or television culture (if it can really be called culture), the article aims at a recognition of what the different subjects related to Philosophy can offer to our youngsters, i.e., critical analysis, the ability to reflect upon the importance of knowing how to live in society, respect to the rights and values of each person, equal treatment to everyone no matter what social status each person may have. Getting to know fundamental values, whether they are considered moral or not, such as dignity, respect, tolerance, where our freedom ends and where another person’s freedom starts, distinguishing between what is legal and what is legitimate and also between what is fair and what is unfair, etc. The article concludes with a vindication of the benefits which the Philosophical Olympics have provided us with in these sad years in which the current Spanish educational law LOMCE has been in force, maintaining thus the vitality of Philosophy among our youngsters.
