El texto analizará cuáles son los factores que explican los cambios en las relaciones de España con América Latina y el Caribe y que, por tanto, configuran la política iberoamericana en los últimos años, indagando en las constantes y cambios que afectan a esa política con los Gobiernos del Partido Popular y los del PSOE. El objetivo es dar una visión de conjunto de las relaciones iberoamericanas, su estado actual, con sus logros y sus insuficiencias, y las incertidumbres para el futuro.

This text will analyse which tactors explain the changes in the relationship between Spain and Latin America and the Caribbean -and theretore shape the IberoAmerican politics- , looking into how that politics has been affected by the ditferent administrations of Spain's People's Party (PP) and Socialist Party (PSOE). The aim of this text is to give an overview of the Ibero-American relations, their current state with its achievements and deficiencies and the uncertainties about their future.
