Resumen de La competición Estados Unidos-República Popular China y el dilema de seguridad en el indo-pacífico

Desde que Henry Kissinger argumentó que el centro de gravedad de los asuntos mundiales estaba pasando del Atlántico a Asia-Pacífico, se ha producido un reenfoque estratégico hacia un nuevo escenario principal, el Indo-Pacífico. En esta área, confluyen principalmente cuatro estrategias de las grandes potencias: China Maritime Silk Road, Act East Policyde la India, el Pivot to Asia/ 2018 National Defense Strategyde EEUU, y Free and Open lndo-Pacific de Japón. No solo la competición entre EEUU y la República Popular de China (RPC) hace que se puedan producir fricciones y crisis, sino que la RPC ha creado un dilema de seguridad en la zona que ha llevado a reforzar las alianzas. La más clara de estas dinámicas es el Quadrilateral Security Dialogue o "Quad". La percepción de un aumento de beligerancia de forma incremental y ciertas políticas de injerencia en la política interna de alguno de estos estados y de otros vecinos de la zona, está llevando a una aceleración en el fortalecimiento de una alianza y un programa de rearme (también nuclear), tal como establece el Realismo Estructural y el modelo del dilema de seguridad. Esta espiral no parece que pueda reducirse a pesar de la interdependencia económica en la zona. Esta tendencia podría representar un argumento en las posiciones que defienden el ascenso de la RPC como una amenaza al statu qua, no solo de la zona, sino del orden internacional.

Since Henry Kissinger argued that the gravity centre of the world affairs was moving from the Atlantic to Asia-Pacitic, a strategic refocusing to a new main scenario has occurred: the lndo-Pacific. Four mafor power strategies come together: China Maritime Silk Road, Indias Act East Polícy, the Pivot to Asia/ 2018 National De tense Strategy/ lndo-Pacitic Strategy ot the U.S and Japan's Free and Open Indo Pacific. Not only does competition between U.S. and the Popular Republic ot China produces trictions and crisis, but the PCR has created a security ditemma in that area that has led to firm up of alliances. The clearest of these dynamics is the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue ar "Quad". The perception of an incremental rise on belligerence and sorne interference in domestic politics within some of these states and other neighbours in the area, is leading to an acceleration in the strengthening of an alliance dynamic and rearmament process (also nuclear), as set down by Structural Realism and the model of the security dilemma. Despite the economic interdependence in the zone, this spiral seems to progress steadily. This trend could represent an argument in the postures that defend the promotion of the PCR as a threat to the status quo, not only of the area, but to the international order.
