  • Resumen
    • Transportation land is an important factor in achieving the interregional flow of materials. China has reached a new normal for economic development, but a conflict between the supply and demand of its land resources still exists. It is necessary to improve the suitability and effectiveness of transportation land supply. This paper considers industrial development, socioeconomic and ecological benefits and strategic planning to determine the cities’ dependence on, dominant mode of, and restrictions on urban transportation. A potential demand model for urban transportation land is then constructed to determine the potential demand of transportation land. On this basis, a land supply decision-making framework is constructed under the multiple objectives of land supply area, type, efficiency and order priority. The main findings of this study indicate that the cities that should be prioritized for transportation land supply are generally located in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, and it is recommended that these cities are mainly supplied with highway land. Most cities that should be less prioritized for transportation land supply are located in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River and normally require diversified transportation land supply types. The main contribution of this paper is the construction of a multiple objective-oriented decision-making system that addresses transportation land supply on the regional scale.
