L’articolo esamina otto elegie del secondo libro dei Theognidea (con particolare riguardo ai vv. 1283-1294), nelle quali si fa riferimento all’infrazione del codice comportamentale che regola i rapporti tra erastes ed eromenos secondo una duplice maniera: la non corrispondenza dell’eromenos dell’amore proposto dall’erastes, vale a dire il rifiuto iniziale (e perdurante) del ragazzo, oppure la sua infedeltà che interrompe un rapporto già avviato.

This paper examines eight elegies from Theognis’ second book (with particular focus on verses 1283-1294), which refer to the violation of the code of conduct that regulates the relationships between erastes and eromenos in a twofold way: the fact that the love proposed by the erastes doesn’t find a match in the eromenos, i.e. the initial (and enduring) refusal from the boy, or its infidelity that interrupts a relationship already started.
