Resumen de AFVITS‐‐a Systematic Approach to Identification Training
The article outlines current armoured fighting vehicle (AFV) identification training in the British Army. The deficiencies of the system are discussed, recent research into AFV identification is reviewed and guidelines are suggested for an improved training system. The design and production of a prototype annoured fighting vehicle identification training system (AFVITS) and the conduct of unit trials are then described and the results discussed. Overall, the increased scores from pre‐test to post‐test suggested that the prototype system was an exciting and effective method of teaching soliders to recognize and identify AFV.
