  • In common with others, the Services have long recognized the importance of the visual media to reinforce printed text and the spoken word. In this article, the author outlines the organization of the graphics support provided for both the operational and training roles of the Royal Air Force. He also gives some examples of the assistance given. In particular, he describes how a working party, set up to coordinate the provision of low cost training aids, has promoted projects which have devised graphics solutions to some training problems.
